about our lenses
At Benji Frank, our eyeglass customers can choose from one of two types of lenses: Polycarbonate or High Index. For sunglasses, we offer our durable polarized CR-39 lenses.
Polycarbonate: Our 1.59 index polycarbonate lenses are shatter resistant and offer 100% protection from UV rays. These lenses come standard with your frames and are recommended for prescriptions with a sphere in-between +4.00 and -4.00
High Index: Our high index 1.67 lenses are made of lightweight material, which make them thinner than your standard plastic lenses and ideal for stronger prescription. They cost just $30 more, but we think you’re worth it.
Anti-Reflection: All of our lenses have a premium quality anti-reflective coating that reduces the glare coming into your eyes. You’ll find this especially helpful when driving at night or when viewing a computer screen for long hours.
Scratch Resistance: Our lenses are also protected with an invisible scratch- resistant coating to help increase the longevity of your glasses.
